Dr. Irene Colliton MD, CCFP
Dr. Irene Colliton, a graduate of the University of Alberta’s Family Medicine program, is the earliest physician at Heritage Medical Clinic. With extensive knowledge in family medicine, low-risk maternity, and Primary Care Health Team (PCHT), Dr. Colliton is committed to improving her patients’ health.
She actively teaches ALARM and precepts Family medicine residents through UofA, works with PCHT at GNH, and provides maternity care to inner-city, marginalized patients through Edmonton Eastwood Clinic.
Dr. Colliton’s patient-centered approach and ability to establish strong relationships with her patients are well-known. She believes in actively listening to her patients, addressing their concerns, and involving them in decision-making.
Dr. Colliton contributes to medical education as a mentor and instructor for medical students and PGY1 residents, shaping compassionate and skilled family physicians.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Colliton enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and knitting. She is a dedicated and accomplished family physician who positively impacts the lives of her patients. Her commitment to ongoing learning, patient care, and medical education makes her a valuable member of the healthcare community.
